AN ALLIANCE THAT WORKS BECAUSE IT CARES
Our intentions are to help the community in relations to the severe substance abuse and subsequent homelessness issues that are prevailing along the route 1 corridor. We endeavor to transition men and women who are homeless to include our veterans as well as ex-offenders. We have formulated a holistic approach to restoration that will lead to personal recovery through the teaching and regaining of life skills and a consciousness of citizenship with the assistance of community entities and our local churches, thus transforming lives.
SUPPORT SERVICES
MAPA alliance members are called by God to help those who are most in need, such as persons struggling with addiction, those re-entering society after a stay in rehab, or a prison term and persons being diverted from jail. MAPA is also dedicated to serving the homeless and the hungry, as well as children and the elderly.
MAPA is passionate about helping people live quality, Christ-centered lives. MAPA wants to provide a hand up and teach the skills and abilities needed to live sober crime -free lives and to contribute to society to make it a better place.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
A central piece of MAPA is to serve Those re-entering society after time spent in rehab or serving a prison or jail term. MAPA calls them “Returning Neighbors” because they live next door to us, their children play with our children, and they need our help to be successful.

At M.A.P.A Virginia, we are dedicated to stepping up our efforts in addressing this issue. This is by no means an easy feat, but through cooperation and community empowerment we believe we can facilitate progress in this area.
